Ozuna Headlines the Uforia La X Reggaeton Show at Prudential Center

October 22, 2021 by New York Latin Culture Magazine

Ozuna (Dan Talson/Adobe)

Ozuna is a Dominican Puerto Rican reggaeton singer and actor who broke out in 2016, but is already the “new king of reggaeton.”

His style is soft. He plays a tough guy sometimes, but Ozuna is a family man who blends Bachata, Reggaeton and Latin Trap styles. He was the most viewed singer on YouTube worldwide in 2018, and in 2019 became the singer with the most billion-view YouTube videos.

Ozuna headlines the Uforia La X Live Reggaeton show at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on Fri, Oct 22 at 7:30pm. From $90. 🇩🇴🇵🇷

Facebook Live Concert

Saturday, September 5, 2020 ~ El Rey de la Cultura Latin en Nueva York, Fernando Cárdenas of NY1 Noticias, interviews The New King of Reggaeton, Ozuna, and announced that Ozuna is giving a free Facebook Live Concert tonight at 8pm.

Ozuna spent some time growing up in Washington Heights, NYC. So this is a homecoming of sorts. ¡Gracias a los Reyes! Thank you Spectrum Mobile.

ENOC

Friday, September 4, 2020 ~ Ozuna’s latest features Arcángel, Camilo, Chencho Corleone, Coculluela, Daddy Yankee, Doha Cat, J Balvin, Jhay Cortez, Junak, Karol G, Lennox, Myke Towers, Nicky Jam, Sia, Wisin and Zion. Wow!

ENOC stands for “El Negrito Ojos Claros” (Little Black man with light eyes). We would translate it as “Little Black man with clear eyes.” The Spanish word “negro” (Black man) or “negrito” (little Black man) has none of the negativity of the English word. It’s a term of endearment, a nickname for someone you love.

Most of the album is reggaeton, but there is some rap, ballad and Latin trap.

Gistro Amarillo

July 23, 2020 ~ Ozuna & Wisin sing about their affection for yellow thongs. Rum pom pom. It’s funny because Ozuna is really a family man. Maybe it doesn’t hurt to look.

Colombianas wear yellow thongs on New Year’s Eve to bring money in the new year. Maybe Ozuna and Wisin are looking ahead.

Nibiru World Tour at Madison Square Garden

Friday, September 4, 2020 ~ Ozuna brings his Nibiru World Tour to Madison Square Garden in Chelsea, NYC at 8pm. Tickets at Ticketmaster.com from $59.

The show has been postponed to keep people safe during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Ozuna’s third studio album Nibiru

Friday, November 29, 2019 ~ Ozuna released his third studio album Nibiru on Aura Music and Sony Music Latin just in time for Mega Bash.

He dropped the lead single Baila Baila Baila in January.

Mega Bash

Friday, November 29, 2019 ~ Ozuna joins Alex Sensation, Farruko, Luis Fonsi, Prince Royce, REIK, V manuelle, Becky G, Jhay Cortez, Ivy Queen, Lunay and Chimbala at La Mega 97.9’s Mega Bash at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey at 8pm. From $79

Soulfrito Music Fest

Friday, August 30, 2019 ~ The Soulfrito Music Fest is a festival of Urban music. From $71

First movie “Que Leon”

Friday, January 24, 2019 ~ The singer jumped into acting with the romantic comedy Que Leon alongside Miss Dominican Republic 2015 Clarissa Molina.

It’s a really cute poor boy and rich girl fall in love, Romeo and Juliet kind of story. Dominating parents can’t stop love.

Aura tour at Madison Square Garden

Saturday, September 22, 2018 ~ Ozuna brings his Aura Tour to Madison Square Garden in Chelsea, NYC on at 8 pm.  From $75

Aura

August 24, 2018 ~ Ozuna released his latest album Aura.

Billboard Music Award for Top Latin Artist of the Year

United Palace

Friday-Saturday, July 28-29, 2017 ~ Ozuna brings his ODISEA Tour to the United Palace in Washington Heights, NYC at 8pm.

Ozuna is Headed for Reggaeton Stardom with Odisea

Dime Quien and Odisea followed in 2017. He is in the flow now. Reggaton’s elite like Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Wisin, Don Omar, Yandel, Nicky Jam, and Romeo Santos record with him.

Ozuna is taking Odisea on his first official world tour of 25 cities in the United States. Right now Ozuna is looking more popular than some of reggaeton’s biggest stars. This week Ahora Dice is #8 and Tu Foto is #11 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart.

La Ocasión

Ozuna’s breakout was 2016’s La Ocasión with DJ Luian, Mambo Kingz, De La Ghetto, Arcángel and Anuel AA. The song reached #22 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.

Ozuna got into the album game with Ozuna Hits in 2016.

Ozuna Started Out on YouTube

Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is Dominican-Puerto Rican which is very common in Puerto Rico. He started songwriting as a kid. His father was a dancer for early reggaeton singer Vico C.

He has followed the reggaeton path with a long string of singles. Ozuna got his first exposure on YouTube starting in 2012. Si No Te Quiere (2014) was a radio hit.
