PaleyFest 2021 Goes Behind-the-Scenes With the Biggest Stars on TV

PaleyFest 2021, the Paley Center for Media’s television festival, offers free public access on yahoo.com/entertainment on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

PaleyFest is one of the leading television festivals in the United States. Since it is virtual this year, it is free and open to the general public. Get festival information at paleycenter.org

It’s great to see actors when they are not acting. Hearing them talk about their roles is illuminating. Sometimes you can’t help but wonder how different some actors are from the people they portray. That’s genius.

There was VIP access to the festival’s taping of “The Queen’s Gambit” interviews, but it closed before press time.

38th PaleyFest 2021

The Paley Center speaks Spanish too. ¡Gracias!

It’s officially the William S. Paley Television Festival. This year brings stars from your favorite television shows including:

  • “The Queen’s Gambit” ~ Anya Taylor -Joy 🇦🇷
  • “Six Feet Under Reunion” ~ Freddy Rodriguez 🇵🇷
  • “What We Do in the Shadows”
  • “Lovecraft Country” ~ Misha Green 🇺🇸, Jurnee Smollet 🇮🇱🇷🇴🇺🇸, Wunmi Mosaku 🇳🇬, Aunjanue Ellis 🇺🇸, Jamie Chung 🇰🇷🇺🇸
  • “Ted Lasso”
  • “Evil” ~ Mike Colter 🇺🇸, Aasif Mandvi 🇮🇳 🇬🇧, Whoopi Goldberg 🇺🇸 moderates
  • “The Late Late Show with James Corden“
  • “The Good Doctor“
  • “Big Sky“

Anya Taylor-Joy is the biggest Latin star in the group. She just won the Golden Globe for Best Actress. Taylor-Joy is Argentine British American. That’s an interesting mix because Argentines and British haven’t gotten along since the Malvinas/Falklands War of 1982. The historic connection is that the British built the railroads in Argentina. The mix could make for interesting family gatherings, but love conquers all. Checkmate!

The Paley Center

The Paley Center is part of the legacy of William S. Paley (1901-1990) who built CBS from a small radio network into one of the big three national broadcasters. He did it through quality programming.

The Center has a natural focus on radio and television, but has broadened its vision into the emerging platforms of new media.
