The Peruvian Parade is America’s big Peruvian Celebration
It is the biggest Peruvian cultural event in the United States and is the biggest parade in New Jersey. The Peruvian Parade is broadcast on local news and Peruvian cable networks. About 8,000 people attend the parade annually.
The Parade celebrates Peruvian national heroes and Peruvian culture. It has been produced by Peruvian Parade, Inc. since 1986.

Paterson, New Jersey is the home of America’s largest Peruvian community. It is the capital of the Peruvian diaspora in the United States.
Little Lima is in downtown Paterson. Market Street is the neighborhood’s main street. The neighborhood has changed over the years from little Dublin (Ireland), to Little Italy to Little Lima.
There is a Peruvian Consulate in Paterson. The Peruvian community is also rooted in the nearby towns of Passaic and Clifton. The area is home to a Bolivian community too.
