Pusanga (Afro-Andean Funk) Afro-Peruvian Latin Alternative at Drom

Pusanga AKA Afro-Andean Funk (Bill Wadman)

Formerly Afro-Andean Funk, Pusanga is a two-time Latin Grammy-nominated Afro-Peruvian, folk-influenced, Latin alternative band. The group is led by Peruvian vocalist Araceli Poma and American bassist Matt Geraghty.

“Pusanga” is the Indigenous Peruvian “love medicine of the Amazon.” It’s an aromatic oil made from plants, leaves, barks, and roots. OMG, that sounds like Dominican mamajuana (except we drink that).
