Watch Madrid vs Manchester United (International Champions Cup exhibition) in Santa Clara, California, Sunday, July 23 at 5pm. It’s a preview of the UEFA Super Cup coming in August. Manchester United won 1-1 on penalties.

Watch Madrid vs Manchester City (International Champions Cup exhibition) in Los Angeles, Wednesday, July 26 at 11pm. With Cristiano Ronaldo on vacation in China, Manchester City won 4-1. But the game set a soccer attendance record for the LA Coliseum with 93,000 fans.

Legendary French international Zinedine Zidane became head coach in January 2016. He came up from coaching Real Madrid’s second team.

The season’s power forwards have been Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Álvaro Morata (Spain), and Karim Benzema (France). Gareth Bale (Wales) moved up to forward this season, but was outscored by his teammates. Lucas Vázquez played the most games, but was not much of a scoring threat.

At midfield, Isco (Spain), James Rodríguez (Colombia), and Casemiro (Brazil) provide support.

Sergio Ramos (Spain) is the most dangerous defender. Marcelo (Brazil) plays regularly.

Keylor Navas (Costa Rica) is the team’s regular goalkeeper.

Real has a crosstown rivalry with Atlético Madrid. Matches are called El Derbi Madrileño (the Madrid Derby).

UEFA Champions League Juventus and Bayern München

Bayern München are European rivals. Both teams meat regularly in the UEFA Champions League.

Now that Ronaldo moved to Juventus, those games should be hard fought.
