Reik is Mexican Pop

The core of the band is Jesús Alberto Navarro Rosas, Julio Ramírez Eguía, and Gilberto Marín Espinoza.

Reik burst on the scene in 2004 when their self-titled debut album generated three Mexican No. 1 hits that crossed over onto Billboard’s Latin Pop charts. The effort earned them a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.

Awards

In 2020, “Un Año” won the Premios Lo Nuestro for Pop/Rock Song of the Year

In 2019, “Me Niego” win the Billboard Music Award for Latin Pop Song of the Year.

In 2009, “Un Día Más” won the Latin Grammy for “Best Pop Album by a Duo or Group with Vocals.”

2005 was big. The band won Los Premios MTV Latinoamérica awards for Best Artist and Best New Artist (North), and Best Group or Duet.
