Sandy e Junior, the Brazilian MPB & sertaneja superstars, are back!

Sandy e Junior are Brazilian sertaneja superstars who are celebrating their 30th anniversary of their first TV performance. Having sold more than 20 million albums, Sandy e Junior are among the best-selling Brazilian artists of all time.

The children of Xororó, of popular sertaneja duo Chitãozinho & Xororó, have been stars since their first childhood recording Maria Chiquinha was released in 1991.

A string of albums led by Era Uma Vez…Ao Vivo in 1998 and a Globo television series made them turn-of-the-century teen superstars.

The duo split up with an MTV Unplugged album in 2007.

Nossa História Tour

Wednesday, October 2, 2019 ~ Sandy e Junior bring their 30th anniversary Nossa História Tour to Barclays Center in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn at 8pm.

Lots of us grew up with Sandy e Junior on television and radio. It’s been twelve years since we’ve seen them perform together.

“Our Story” is going to be a concert of career highlights of which there are many. For sure, all of Barclays Center will be singing along. Brooklyn is going to wonder what on earth is going on. It’s Sandy e Junior.

Tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster.com on Friday, August 9 at 10am.

Acústico MTV

April 17, 2007 ~ The duo announced that their MTV Unplugged album would end their duo career. Acústico MTV went platinum.

Sandy went solo and Junior went on to produce records.

Sandy e Junior

1999 ~ This weekly television series brought Sandy e Junior into homes across Brazil. They were so loved that Época, the Brazilian news magazine, compared their fans to Beatlemania.

Era Uma Vez…Ao Vivo

1998 ~ The more pop oriented sound of this album led a string of hit records that made Sandy e Junior Brazilian pop superstars.

Maria Chiquinha

1991 ~ The duo started performing as children. They were the children of Xororó and were just the cutest kids.

Maria Chiquinha is now a sertaneja classic.

Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil

Campinas is a city inland from São Paulo in Brazil’s southeast. Sandy Leah Lima was born in 1983. Her little brother, Durval de Lima Junior was born in 1984.
