Summer Streets NYC

Summer Streets NYC started in 2008. It was inspired by Bogotá, Colombia’s Ciclovía street festival that started in 1974.

Even if you’ve driven or walked the sidewalks on those streets, you get a very different perspective walking down the middle of the street. And the quiet is spectacular. The family activities and entertainment at rest stops on the routes are wonderful too.
