Wild Noise / Ruido Salvaje is an exhibition of contemporary Cuban art from the 1970s to the present at the Bronx Museum February 17 – July 3, 2017.
The exhibition examines Cuban artist’s expressions of identity, community, and the urban experience. It includes works by Belkis Ayón, Abel Barroso, José Bedia, Alejandro Campins, Los Carpinteros, Carlos Garaicoa, Kcho, Glenda León, Ana Mendieta, Diana Fonseca Quiñones, Eduardo Ponjuán, Wilfredo Prieto, Sandra Ramos, Esterio Segura, Meira Marrero and José Angel Toirac, and others.
Wild Noise / Ruido Salvaje is a collaboration between the Bronx Museum and the El Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Havana, Cuba. The exhibition is the return leg of an exhibition of Bronx art shown in Cuba in 2015.
