Winter JazzFest is a jazz talent showcase for for New York City jazz lovers and booking agents in town for APAP (Association of Performing Arts Professionals).
The core is a jazz marathon at founding night club Le Poisson Rouge and other Greenwich Village jazz clubs. All told, over 10,000 jazz lovers enjoy hundreds of artists playing in over one hundred groups.
This sells out every year, so buy your tickets and passes early.

This year’s festival features fourteen shows, the Winter JazzFest Marathon and a Brooklyn Marathon too.
Winter JazzFest Shows
There is only one Latin show this year.
Thursday, January 16, 2020 ~ Anat Cohen & Choro Aventuroso open for Brazilian samba star Seu Jorge with Rogê at The Town Hall in Midtown, NYC at 8pm.

Grammy-nominated Cohen is New York City’s own choro specialist. Choro is Brazilian carnival music from Rio de Janeiro. It’s not New Orleans jazz, but has a similar vibe.
