Saulo Garcia’s “Quinceañera” is Colombian Standup Comedy at Repertorio Español

Colombian standup comic Saulo García’s greatest hits show Quinceañera is at Repertorio Español in Kips Bay, Manhattan, Fri-Sun, Mar 18-20. repertorio.nyc 🇨🇴

Quinceañera

A quinceañera is the Hispanic equivalent of a Sweet 16 coming out party. We celebrate at 15 years old. So this was García’s quinceañera.

This is stand-up comedy with highlights from his last seven shows.

  • El insomnio Americano
  • Al fondo a la derecha
  • La vida en Los Esclavos Unidos
  • Entrada gratis
  • En la USA me quedé
  • Sin Wifi también se vive
  • I am Latino

Valentín Álvarez Campos directs.

There is an English saying, “may you live in interesting times.” We are living in interesting times, and one of the best antidotes for that is laughing at yourself.

Saulo Garcia makes us laugh at ourselves as we find our way through the twists and turns that are this grand life in America. As Americans with heritage, we live in two worlds at the same time. Sometimes the collision of these worlds is tragic, but sometimes it’s really funny. Garcia is like a homing pigeon on the funny part of life in these United States.

Hey Saulo. You’ve been doing this for fifteen years and you still don’t have a job?

Saulo is really funny. He can’t do any other work, so we should go see his show.
