Bronx Week 2025 Features the Bronx Ball, Bronx Parade, Bronx Food & Arts Festival, Bronx Week Concert, and More

Bronx Week 2025 is a nearly monthlong festival of the best of Bronx culture. It’s a series of community events that climaxes with the Bronx Ball, Bronx Parade, Bronx Food & Arts Festival, and Bronx Week Concert. We love The Bronx! It’s one of the cradles of New York City culture where legends are born.

Bronx Week 2025

Bronx Week 2025 features lots of community events for businesses, community leaders, and the people; from May 5 – 18, 2025.

These are some of the official events:

  • Bronx Week’s 53rd Bronx Ball celebrates Bronx Walk of Fame inductees, with black-tie cocktails, dinner, music, and dancing at Hutchinson Metro Center in The Bronx; on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 6-11pm.
  • Bronx Week’s Bronx Parade is on Mosholu Parkway on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 10am. FREE.
  • Bronx Week’s Bronx Food and Arts Festival is on the southbound lanes of Mosholu Parkway at Van Cortlandt Avenue East; on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 12-6pm. Free with purchase options.
  • The Bronx Week Concert is on Mosholu Parkway and Bainbridge Avenue on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 12-6pm. Free.

The Bronx Music Heritage Center is in the house this year with Bronx culture at the beautiful new Bronx Music Hall:

  • Palabras Abiertas (Open Words) is a multilingual open mic hosted by Bronx poet Sumbodies Mama (Jesica Blandon); at the Bronx Music Hall in Melrose, The Bronx; on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 7pm. $5.
  • Bronx Rising!: A Tribute to Gigi Gryce, pays tribute to the African American Bronx jazz musician and educator, with readings by biographer Noal Cohan and Gryce’s music played by the Alexis Cole Quartet; at the Bronx Music Hall in Melrose, The Bronx; on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 7pm. 🇺🇸
  • Emerging Voices in Latin Jazz: Cocomama features NYC’s multinational women’s Latin jazz band; at the Bronx Music Hall in Melrose, The Bronx; on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 7pm.
  • Bronx Arts Ensemble plays classical music at the Bronx Music Hall in Melrose, The Bronx; on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 7pm.

La India’s Mother’s Day Concert brings legendary Puerto Rican salsa to Lehman Center in Jerome Park, The Bronx; on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 8pm.

Bronx Week 2024

There are many community events. These are the highlights:

Part of the celebration is inductions into the Bronx Walk of Fame, 23 blocks on Grand Concourse with street signs honoring famous people from The Bronx. The ceremony is invitation-only, but you can walk the Bronx Walk of Fame. Street signs for new inductees are on Grand Concourse between East 158th St and East 161st St. See if you can find all of the 125 different street signs.

The 2024 inductees are:

  • Dr. Antwan “Amadeus” Thompson Sr., Ph.D., hip hop producer @amadeuspbm
  • Andrea Navedo, actress (Jane the Virgin) @andreanavedo 🇵🇷
  • Ozzie Virgil Sr. from Monte Cristi, first Dominican player in Major League Baseball. 🇩🇴

The 52nd Bronx Ball presented by the Bronx Tourism Council, and Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson, is a red carpet, Black Tie Gala celebrating the 2024 Bronx Walk of Fame Inductees, with dinner and dancing to DJ Spynfo at the Former Whitestone Multiplex Cinema on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 6-11pm. rsvpify.com

The Bronx Week Parade marches on Mosholu Parkway between Hull Avenue and Van Cortlandt Avenue East; on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 10am. FREE.

The Bronx Week Food and Arts Festival is on Mosholu Parkway, on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 12noon. Enter at Van Cortlandt Ave East. FREE with food for sale.

The Bronx Week Concert features DJ Ralph Mercado, Tano, pop singer Luis Figueroa, rapper Lil Mo, freestyler Lisette Melendez, and International Women in Reggae; on Mosholu Parkway, on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 12-6pm. FREE. Enter at Van Cortlandt Ave East. FREE. 🇺🇸 🇩🇴 🇯🇲 🇵🇷
