Hell’s Kitchen hosts the Ninth Avenue International Food Festival, NYC’s oldest and largest food festival. Of course it has Latin flavors.
The World on One Street
The Ninth Avenue International Food Festival is the oldest and largest continuing food festival in New York City, taking place each May on Ninth Avenue, where local restaurants and merchants take to the street to serve an array of ethnic foods representing the different cultures of the neighborhood.
The festival is held to raise funds for community groups and perfectly illustrates the diversity of New York itself.
Ninth Avenue is close to the edge of Manhattan, but has a lot of good restaurants on it.
The vendor list wasn’t published at press time, but past festivals have had Brazilian, Caribbean, Colombian, Mexican, Portuguese, Spanish food, and more.
