Calpulli Mexican Dance Company

Calpulli Mexican Dance Company is a performing company of New York City teaching artists of Mexico’s diverse dance traditions. One third of our country was once Mexico, so these are Mexican American traditions too.

Calpulli is a community dance company that performs like professionals. Their major shows are so good, we think they should be on Broadway.

The Calpulli Artistic Director Alberto Lopez has been recognized by Time Magazine as one of the great “American Voices.”

This is one of the great dance companies who are keeping our heritage traditions alive.
