City Winery NYC is a restaurant and performing arts venue in a working winery that presents established artists, tribute bands, and comedy, including some great Latin artists on its Main Stage and in The Loft. It also has fun wine tastings. It’s a great date place and a place to take visiting friends and family.

There may be some famous Brazilians at this show. She is that level. Bebel is a great artist in her own right, but is also Brazilian music royalty. She is the daughter of João Gilberto, the father of bossa nova who defined the form, and Miúcha, a famous samba and bossa nova singer, and sister of renowned Brazilian singer Chico Buarque.
Tanto Tempo is a great album. The Tanto Tempo Remixes, which leans into house, is great too. It is Rio de Janeiro chill with New York lounge vibes.
Kíko ~ Bebel’s music was part of my New York life in the 2000s. I used to run with Brazilians doing fashion photography in New York and São Paulo. I photographed bands at the Knitting Factory (City Winery’s predecessor), and even interviewed Bebel in 2012 when I started New York Latin Culture Magazine. So City Winery, one of my first sponsors, is in the magazine’s DNA.
