About the Coney Island Amphitheater

The Amphitheater was part of the redevelopment of the historic Child’s Building, a Spanish Revival building from 1923. Child’s Restaurants was one of the first American restaurant chains.

The building was redeveloped in 2016 and the amphitheater was added. It is the centerpiece of the Seaside Park and Community Arts Center.

It’s one of New York’s homes of Puerto Rican Freestyle.
