Billboard Magazine reports that Rumsey Playfield, the venue for Central Park SummerStage is being completely renovated for the 2019 Season.

It will get a new stage, cover, sound system, lighting, video and VIP seating.

About a quarter million people enjoy SummerStage every year in Central Park and 15 – 18 parks around New York City.

Bowery Presents books ticketed benefit concerts. Good Morning America also presents its summer concert series at Rumsey Playfield.

SummerStage is produced by the City Parks Foundation.

Central Park SummerStage is at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park. The closest Park entrance is at Fifth Ave and 69th St.
