Romani NYC
Romani NYC culture is at the Flamenco Festival New York, Drom, NY Gypsy Festival, Romani Day, and more. The Romani are originally traveling court musicians from northern India who migrated to Europe and the Americas. Andalusian flamenco emerged from the encounter between the Romani people — who arrived in southern Spain in the 15th century carrying musical traditions rooted in South Asia — and the Arab, Moorish, Jewish, and indigenous Andalusian musical cultures that had already shaped the region for centuries. ☸️
