Ethiopian NYC is a small community. Ethiopian food is delicious. Coffee is originally from Ethiopia.
Things are messy now, but Ethiopia is respected because it was the only African country to avoid colonization. For this reason, many African countries based their colors on the old Ethiopian Empire flag.
Ethiopian Restaurants
The Red Rooster is celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson’s Harlem restaurant. The food is awesome and there are usually DJs or performers on weekends. Ginny’s Supper Club is in the basement. redroosterharlem.com
