Frida Kahlo is a global icon of Mexicans, women, Indigenous people, and LGBT people.

Frida first gained fame as the wife of Mexican muralist Diego Rivera. Today, she is more famous than he is. She spent time in New York City while Diego was painting the infamous mural at Rockefeller Center.

People connect with Frida because she refused to be anybody but herself. She is true to herself and that is the mystery and the power of Frida Kahlo. Eterna.
