Louis Vuitton

French luxury house Louis Vuitton is one of the world’s most coveted fashion brands. The New York flagship store is at 57th Street and 5th Avenue.

About Louis Vuitton

The company was founded in Paris, France in 1854. Travel trunks of the time had a rounded top. Vuitton’s first innovation was to make flat-topped travel trunks so they could be stacked. Latter he designed a lock that was difficult to pick.

Vuitton had problems with counterfeiters from the very beginning. This inspired the design of patented graphics and the LV monogram logo.

The brand has been designed by Nicolas Ghesquière since 2013. Ghesquière is former creative director of Balenciaga.
