Maluma (Juan Luis Londoño Arias) is a Colombian Reggaeton singer-songwriter from Medellín. In 2017 Shakira featured Maluma on her #1 hit Chantaje (blackmail).
Maluma’s career started when Farandulera became a radio hit in Medellín in 2010. Since then he has released two studio albums, a mixtape, and over 30 singles.
Maluma’s first album was Magia (2012, Sony Music Colombia). The video for Obsesión is a YouTube hit.
La Temperatura featuring Eli Palacios from PB.DB The Mixtape (2015, Sony Music Colombia) reached #8 on the US Latin Pop chart and went Platinum on the Spanish language charts.
Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy (2015, Sony Music Latin) produced several hits. Borró Cassette was a #1 hit in Colombia and on the US Tropical chart. It went Triple Platinum on the Spanish language charts. The video is shot in the Meatpacking District.
Maluma has had Platinum recordings as a featured artist with Danny Romero, Thalía, Ricky Martin, and Piso. Shakira’s Chantaje featuring Maluma went #1 on the US Latin chart.
La Voz Kids
In 2014, Maluma was a coach and judge on La Voz Kids Colombia. He played the same role in 2017 on La Voz Kids México.
