The Medieval Festival is a family celebration of all things medieval including knights, ladies, minstrels, magicians and jesters.

The Festival transforms Fort Tryon Park into a medieval market town. People dress in character. Food, drink and handicrafts are available for purchase. The day ends with a round of mounted knights jousting. Kids (and big kids) love it.

Fort Tryon Park is the home of the Met Cloisters, a museum of medieval European art assembled from actual cloisters and other medieval buildings from Europe that is now part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The Festival isn’t particularly Latin, but Medieval Europe was Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Romanian among others.
