Uptown Fashion Week September

Established Latin designers lead emerging designers during New York Fashion Week. At The Museum of the City of New York September 12-15, 2016.

Rafael Guastavino (1842-1908) was a Spanish architect who created the Guastavino Tile based on a Catalan vault technique. He rebuilt the ceiling of the Ellis Island Great Hall, designed the central crossing of the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine. You can see his work in the ceilings of the Oyster Bar in Grand Central Terminal, the south arcade of the Manhattan Municipal Building, and Bridgemarket under the Queensboro Bridge.
