The Museum of the City of New York is a living history of New York City, on Fifth Avenue’s Museum Mile in “El Barrio” East Harlem, Manhattan.
A lot of American popular culture started in New York, the home of baseball, Broadway, modern jazz (bebop), Latin jazz (cubop), salsa, disco, punk and hip-hop/rap. Tango and reggaeton passed through.
If you are interested in the glory days of some of the culture created in New York, you see it at the Museum of the City of New York.
