The National Indigenous Peoples of the Americas Parade 2024 is a celebration of Indigenous American culture on the native continuum from the Arctic to Tierra del Fuego. It’s organized by Lenape Native Americans (the tribe whose land became New York City), but all Indigenous Peoples of the Americas join in.
The opening ceremonies and parade are an opportunity to learn about Indigenous culture, including storytelling, singing, drumming, and dancing; and traditional clothing. It’s a great opportunity for New York photographers.

National Indigenous Peoples of the Americas Parade
The Parade is organized by Lenape visionary Firebird Graywolf. The Lenape are the First Nations of what became New York City. The parade marches down Broadway, the old Lenape trail, through Lenape hunting grounds.
If you study traditional cultures of the Americas, you can’t help but notice how similar we all are.
New York Latin Culture Magazine has been a proud sponsor of the Parade since its inception. See a short reel of the 2023 Parade on Instagram
