NYC Pride 2020 goes Virtual

NYC Pride is New York City’s annual LGBT pride celebration.

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the 50th NYC Pride Parade and related celebrations will be broadcast on WABC Channel 7 and streamed live on abc7ny.com and ABC News Live Streaming on Sunday, June 28, 2020 from 12-2pm. FREE

2019 was Stonewall 50, the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Riots at the Stonewall Inn in Manhattan’s West Village which fueled the LGBT rights movement.

2020 is the 50th anniversary of NYC Pride, or NYC Pride 50.

The show features performances by Janelle Monáe, Deborah Cox, Billy Porter, Luíza Sonza and more. Wilson Cruz, Miss Richfield 1981, Margaret Cho and others are expected to make appearances. WABC journalists Ken Rosato and Lauren Glassberg host with co-host Carson Kressley and correspondents Sam Champion and Kemberley Richardson.

  • Dan Levy is an Emmy nominated producer best known for his work on the “Schitt’s Creek” television series.
  • The Ali Forney Center helps homeless LGBT youth find safe housing options.
  • Yanzi Peng is a human rights activist.
  • Victoria Cruz is an LGBT rights activist.

New York City won’t be the same without our June Pride celebration, but we thank the organizers for keeping New York safe.
