June is NYC Pride Month! 🏳️🌈
NYC Pride Month
Being a creative city, New York is very LGBTQ and LGBTQ friendly. Much of the rest of the world is not so sure, probably because it’s still in the closet!
The Stonewall Riots at the Stonewall Inn in Manhattan’s West Village started on June 28, 1969 and continued for days after. Standing up to the bully inspired a generation in the struggle for LGBTQ+ Rights.
Thanks to the Stonewallers who stood up for themselves, New York City is one of the places in the world where you can really be who you are, and be loved for it.
