The Panamanian Parade NYC is New York City’s big celebration of Panamanian culture and Panamanian contributions to American culture. It’s the biggest Panamanian parade outside of Panama. People come from the entire East Coast and even from Panama to join the Parade.
It includes a Gala, Parade, and Cultural Festival and street fair. The best way to participate is to get involved with the preparations. Look for the beautiful Panamanian polleras. They are some of the Latin world’s most beautiful polleras.

The Panamanian Parade also participates in NYC’s Hispanic Day Parade on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.

Panamanian Parade NYC
The Panamanian Parade NYC was founded by Mauricio Alleyne in 1995 to celebrate Panama’s independence from Colombia on November 3, 1903. Both countries were part of Gran Colombia, founded in 1819, but Panamanian culture has always been a little different from Colombian culture.
Like all national parades, it’s a chance to teach cultural heritage to Panamanian American children, celebrate traditional culture, draw politicians to the community, and have a good time together.
It usually attracts around 30,000 people.
