Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2019

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade marks the start of New York City’s Christmas Holiday Season.

[Nov 27: WEATHER UPDATE] The parade is on, but the NYPD decides Thursday morning whether the big balloons can fly in the wind.


Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2019

This year’s new balloons are:

  • Astronaut Snoopy by Peanuts Worldwide
  • Green Eggs and Ham by Netflix
  • Love Flies Up to the Sky by Yayoi Kusama
  • Smokey Bear by the US Department of Agriculture – Forest Service
  • SpongeBob Squarepants and Gary by Nickelodeon

Balloon Inflation

Wednesday, November 27, 2019 ~ Balloon inflation takes place the day before the parade.

    Viewing is restricted from 38th St to the end at Macy’s Herald Square on 34th St.
