That’s why the singing is not quite standard Spanish. But it’s a great song filled with Brazilian cool. The actor who played Escobar, Wagner Moura, is also Brazilian.

Saravá, Wild Carnival! Closing Party

“Saravá” means “good luck” in Candomblé, the Afro-Brazilian religion (Santería is similar). Carnival is the pre-Lenten feast with Italian origins when the last meat of the previous year had to be eaten before it spoiled.

House of Yes is one of the wilder dance clubs remaining in New York City. This should be a great party. Legal!
