Flamenco Festival New York 2023 Fills the City with Duende

The Flamenco Festival New York 2023 brings a new crop of the best flamenco dancers and musicians from Spain, as they start their American tours.

There’s always something for everyone from traditional purists, to the experimental avant-garde.

The flamenco carries the heritage of so many peoples. European, African, Arab, and Asian culture all come together in Spain. You can hear it in the music and see it in the dance.

The guitar and Spanish songs came to the Americas long before flamenco developed, so it blends naturally with tropical music, Indigenous music, and American jazz. Flamenco blending with urban music has triggered a global flamenco renaissance. The flamenco cry is the call to prayer, and you hear it everywhere.

We are blends of one another and its all in the flamenco.
