Hamilton Heights


Hamilton Heights is part of West Harlem up on the hills of Upper Manhattan.

It is the cultural home of City College of New York’s Aaron Davis Hall, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Limón Dance Company and the Harlem School of the Arts.

It is the historic home of the Hamilton Heights Historic District and the Sugar Hill Historic District. Sugar Hill was an elite African American neighborhood. When you made good, you moved up to Sugar Hill.

Parks in Hamilton Heights include Riverside Park with Riverbank State Park, Jackie Robinson Park and St. Nicholas Park.
