Repertorio Español is New York City’s Spanish-language repertory theatre.

Many productions are adaptations of classic Hispanic literature, but there is also new work, some comedy, and some flamenco.

Some shows can be streamed from Repertorio’s website.

Subtitle translations enable English speakers to enjoy most productions too.

It’s a great place to take your family, and learn about Hispanic theatre.

Thank you for sponsoring Latin theatre.

About Repertorio Español

Founded by New York Cubans in 1968, Repertorio Español produces Spanish-language theatre from literary classics and some new stories, with occasional comedy and flamenco.

The black box theater with minimal staging is really a writer’s, director’s and actor’s theatre. It’s both a showcase and training ground. Some of the performers are well-known actors, and some are starting their theatre careers. Working in repertory develops the artistry.

In season, Repertorio often performs six days a week, with many daytime performances. In summer, it performs on weekends.
