Schomburg Center
Harlem’s Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture produces African American events and exhibitions, including the Afro-Latin heritage of New York City. The Puerto Rican founder built one of the world’s leading collections of Harlem Renaissance arts. Signature programs include the Schomburg Center Literary Festival, Black Comic Book Festival, and Women’s Jazz Festival. In 2026, the events are part of the Schomburg Centennial Festival.
