About the Thalia Spanish Theatre

The Thalia has produced over two hundred productions since 1977. It’s a small 74-seat theater that has earned its place in the heart of Queens.

Spanish theatre has some special relevance. Spanish Golden Age Theatre (roughly 1590 – 1681) was sponsored by Spanish aristocrats, but enjoyed by all classes of society. It produced a volume of theater that far exceeded the number of plays produced in the English Renaissance.
