Monica Bellucci is an Italian Model Who Became an Actress

Monica Bellucci began her career as a model for Dolce & Gabbana and Dior in 1989.

She started acting in Francesco Laudadio’s Italian comedy “La Riffa” in 1991, and has since become an international actress. Her work in “L’Appartement” won a 1997 Cesar Award (the French Oscars) for “Most Promising Actress.”

Monica played Mary Magdalene in Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of Christ.” She was Persephone in “The Matrix Reloaded” and “The Matrix Revolutions.” She was a Bond girl in “Spectre” (2015).

She is a very busy actress. Lately Bellucci’s work has been winning European film awards.
