These two go together well. Tokischa’s music is naughty in that working class Dominican way, but it’s not fake. It’s a reflection of her youth and family circumstances in the rough barrio Santo Domingo Este. That’s a world like nothing you’ve ever seen in New York. Tokischa is very bright and keeps developing herself and her art. I really respect her for that. And her music is great.
