Then its the Armory Week art fairs, New York Fashion Week, NYC Broadway Week, and the Central American Independence Parade.

Then comes the African American Day Parade, Mexican Independence Parades, and Hispanic Heritage Month.

The month ends with the New York Film Festival and NYC Off-Broadway Week.

National Month

Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates America’s Spanish heritage culture and contributions to the culture of the United States. Far more American culture is derived from Latin culture than most Americans have been taught. The term “Hispanic,” used by the U.S. government, is completely inadequate because it is a Eurocentric view that that celebrates colonial crimes against humanity while ignoring the majority of the peoples of the Americas. Hispanic Heritage Month is really a month of celebration of the Latin mix of Indigenous, European, African, Arab, Jewish, South Asian, and East Asian cultures who make up the peoples of the Americas.
