New York International Salsa Congress (NYISC) is New York City’s Labor Day Weekend salsa dance festival. It includes bachata too. You can take workshops and bootcamps all day, and dance to live music and DJs all night. It’s a great way to improve your salsa and make dance friends.

Eddie Torres, the dancer who is widely credited with popularizing Salsa on 2 (what Puerto Ricans call dancing en clave) is teaching a bootcamp. He is 75-years-young now, so go study with the master while you can. Tito y Tamara are considered some of Puerto Rico’s best salsa dance teachers. There are many more great teachers in every style.

New York Salsa On2 blends the forms by breaking on the second beat, and adding disco shines. This is a great chance to see and study with a legend.
