Things To Do in NYC in July

Things to do in NYC in July (Eric Cote/Dreamstime)
Things to do in NYC in July (Eric Cote/Dreamstime)

Things To Do in NYC in July 2025 include the Ecuadorian Parade, Festival de las Flores, Colombian Parade, Peruvian Parade. New York’s summer festivals provide mostly free outdoor events: BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn, Bryant Park Picnic Performances, Summer for the City, and Summerstage.

July 1-6 | 7-13 | 14-20 | 21-27 | 28-31

July is Disability Pride Month.

Fourth of July is a U.S. national holiday. Argentina, Canada, Colombia, France, Philippines, Puerto Rico, USA, and Venezuela have national days. There are feast days for Chiquinquirá (Colombia), Aggayú Sola (Yoruba flowing nature), Ogun Balenyo (Dominican Republic), Anaisa Pye (Dominican Republic), Saint Anne (Dominican Republic), Saint James (Santiago Apóstol, Spain), Santa Marta la Dominadora / Mami Wata / La Sirena (Dominican Republic), and Pachamama Eve (Inca Mother Earth in Peru). The Feast of Saint James is important because the celebration of the patron saint of Spain was the best place for colonized Indigenous and African peoples to hide and preserve their heritage traditions without being abused by Spanish colonizers.

July weather is peak summer. It’s the hottest month of the year with average temperatures of 69°-84°. This is the best month to enjoy lakes, rivers, bays, and beaches because in New York, water bodies are warmest in July.
