In June, New York City slips into its summer schedule.

NEW YORK ON PAUSE COVID-19

This is not a normal June. New York City has been on PAUSE for the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic since mid-March 2020. Phase 1 reopening begins June 8. Phase 2 begins June 21.

June is Pride Month and Caribbean Heritage Month.

JUNE HOLIDAYS: Anniversary Day is a New York City school holiday. Father’s Day Stonewall Riots.

JUNE PARADES: The Israel Parade, Portugal Day Parade, National Puerto Rican Day Parade, Coney Island Mermaid Parade, and NYC Pride Parade.

JUNE STREET FAIRS: Portugal Day Festival, New York City Dance Week, Museum Mile Festival, 116th Street Festival, and PrideFest.

JUNE THEATRE: Shakespeare in the Park, Drama Desk Awards, Tony Awards.

JUNE MUSIC FESTIVALS: Concerts in the Parks, Metropolitan Opera Summer Recital Series, Blue Note Jazz Festival, Governors Ball Music Festival, New York Salsa Festival Midsummer Night Swing, Pride Island

JUNE FASHION: CFDA Fashion Awards.
