Chloe Zhao’s “Nomadland” Makes History at the Oscars 2021 Academy Awards

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the 2021 Oscars, the 93rd Academy Awards are moving from their usual February date to Sunday, April 25, 2021.

We had some really bad COVID-19 months last year and this year. The Academy wanted to give filmmakers extra time to complete and release their projects this year. So the whole process is pushed back about two months.
