‘Back to Burgundy’ is the next generation of a traditional winemaking family

Back to Burgundy is Cédric Klapisch’s 2017 French comic drama about a family that reunites around the family winery when their father becomes ill. They must learn to trust each other as a family again in order to survive.

When his father becomes ill, Jean returns to the family winery after ten years away. To keep the family business alive, he must rebuild his relationship with his sister Juliette and his brother Jérémie.

Cédric Klapisch is best known for L’auberge espagnole (2002).

The film stars Pio Marmaï as Jean, Ana Girardot as his sister Juliette, and François Civil as his brother Jérémie.
