Christie’s 20th Century Evening Sale of modern, post-war, and contemporary art; features abstract expressionists, American visionaries, and modernism leaders such as Giacometti, Picasso, and Magritte. There is work by American, French, Italian artists. There is also an uli figure from malagan rituals of Papua New Guinea. We were struck by how similar it is to Indigenous Caribbean and African ritual art. You can see it at christies.com
