  • Carnaval Cubano Nacional

Many Americans first learn about Caribbean culture through Cuban traditions.

Cuban culture is an important part of American culture. We have a long shared history with the biggest Caribbean island, just 90 miles from Florida. Before the Cuban Revolution of 1959, Cuba was the richest and most advanced Latin country in the Americas. Island Cubans used to be highly educated and back in the day, some technological advances happened first in Cuba. Cubans make great Americans who contribute a lot to the culture and prosperity of the United States. Many have built successful American businesses.
