Day WIthout Immigrants National Strike February 16, 2017

Major media are reporting that February 16, 2017 is a Day Without Immigrants, a nationwide grass-roots strike protesting the President’s multiple attacks on immigrants.

Miss work. Skip class. Don’t shop.

It’s being reported that some restaurants and taxi companies in New York will be closed in solidarity with their immigrant workforce.

There is a rally against the immigrant ban in Battery Park at 10am.

A “Make the Road New York” rally against immigration raids is planned for 5pm outside Jacob K. Javitz Federal Building in Manhattan’s Civic Center.
