Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra Big Band Holidays

The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra Big Band Holidays concert at Jazz at Lincoln Center is Wednesday – Sunday, December 19-23, 2018. From $105

  • Wednesday, December 19 at 7pm
  • Thursday-Saturday, December 20-22 at 8pm
  • Sunday, December 23 at 2pm

Wynton Marsalis will be there and so will Carlos Henriquez, the heir to the legacy of Puerto Rican jazz and salsa legend Tito Puente.

Big Band Holidays is a New New York Holiday Tradition

The concert swings with holiday classics like Count Basie’s Jingle Bells, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, and Billie Holiday’s I’ve Got my Love to Keep me Warm.

Really, you have to imagine the whole of Time Warner Center swinging to a jazzy holiday beat. In your mind’s eye, see those twin towers swinging back and forth like two dancers at the Savoy Ballroom once upon a time in Harlem.

Now Santa is no dummy. He is for sure going to stop first at the happiest house, and on these days and nights that has got to be Jazz at Lincoln Center swinging to Big Band Holidays.
