Start Master Drawings New York 2021 Online and End in a Gallery

The 15th Master Drawings New York 2021 art fair is both virtual at masterdrawingsnewyork.com and in select Upper East Side galleries Saturday, January 22-30, 2021.

There are usually both New York and European dealers showing Mexican, Italian, French, and Spanish works at a cluster of art galleries in New York’s Upper East Side.

In this edition, eighteen international galleries are showing drawings from the 15th century to the present.

To stay safe during the COVID-19 Pandemic, first view the art online. If you see something interesting, make an appointment to see it in the gallery.

This is one of Mary-Anne Martin Fine Art’s regular shows. The gallery is one of New York City’s leading Mexican and Latin American art galleries. Martin built the Latin American art department at Sotheby’s in the 1970s. She is a big deal, but very nice and approachable.

Some interesting partners are leading online panels including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.

The West Harlem Art Fund leads a panel on Artists of African & Mulatto Descent 18th to 19th Century on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11am. Savona Bailey-McClain will talk about these artists: Grafton Tyler Brown, Robert Scott Duncanson, Julien Hudson, Joshua Johnson, Mary Edmonia Lewis and Eugene Warburg.

The Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center leads an exhibition and panel on Women picturing Women.
