Midtown Dance 2024 Free Dance Lessons Outdoors in Greeley Square Plaza


Midtown Dance 2024, hosted by Talia Castro-Pozo, offers free dance lessons for all levels and dancing outdoors in Greeley Square Park near Herald Square.

Talia Castro-Pozo is a Peruvian actress and classical ballerina who is one of New York City’s leading social dance hosts. She produces Latin Mondays at Taj.

Talia and other great teachers host free dance lessons and dancing outdoors in the plaza at Greeley Square Park, on the pedestrian section of Broadway called Broadway Boulevard, on Sixth Avenue at 33rd St near Herald Square.

Midtown Dance, by Talia Castro-Pozo, teaches Afro, African, Bomba, Brazilian, and Caribbean dance in Greeley Square Park near Herald Square, Manhattan; on Wednesday, May 22 – June 26, 2024, from 6-7pm. FREE.

The first half of this season is focusing on African and Diaspora traditions. There’s a lot of great music and dance coming out of Africa now.

  • Midtown Dance teaches Puerto Rican Bomba with Milteri Tucker; in Greeley Square Park near Herald Square, Manhattan; on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 6-7pm. FREE. 🇵🇷
  • Midtown Dance teaches Afro Brazilian with Janete Silva; in Greeley Square Park near Herald Square, Manhattan; on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 6-7pm. FREE. 🇧🇷
  • Midtown Dance teaches Afro Caribbean with Franck Muhel; in Greeley Square Park near Herald Square, Manhattan; on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 6-7pm. FREE.
